Privacy Policy

Effective July 8, 2026

The short version

Nerish is a personal relationship manager. Your connections and their details belong to you. We store them only to make the app work, we don't sell them, and you can delete everything at any time.

Information you provide

Account: your name and email address, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign in.
Connections: the people you add and everything you record about them — names, relationship type, notes, tags, important dates, custom fields, and referral links.
Business cards: photos you scan are sent to our processing provider (OpenAI) to extract text, then discarded; only the extracted details you keep are saved.
Contacts import: if you choose to import from your device Contacts, the entries you select are copied into Nerish. We never upload your full address book.

Information collected automatically

Your device time zone, so reminders and follow-up dates land at the right local time.
A push-notification token, if you enable notifications, so we can deliver reminders.
Basic subscription status (free or Pro), managed through Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your card details.

How your information is used

To provide the core app: storing your connections, computing follow-up cadences, and sending reminders.
To process business-card scans you request.
To manage your subscription and enforce plan limits.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored on our backend (Convex). Authentication is handled by Clerk, subscriptions by RevenueCat and Apple, and card-scan text extraction by OpenAI. Each provider only receives what it needs to perform its function.

Your choices

Camera, Photos, Contacts, and Notifications are all opt-in — Nerish asks before using them, and you can change permissions in iOS Settings anytime.
You can edit or delete any connection at any time.
Deleting your account removes your connections and associated data from our backend.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your connections and related records are deleted from our systems. Scanned card images are not retained after text extraction.

Children

Nerish is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
